This is a site sharing stories, opinions, and perspectives. I am not a doctor - PhD or MD, Veterinarian (DVM), a dog breeder, -- I am a dog owner. If you need medical or other advise, seek care and advise from the appropriate source for your situation -- really. 

If you have a purebred dog or Scottish Terrier from a breeder and need advise regarding your dog - contact your breeder or your vet. 

If you can't keep your purebred dog for any reason most reputable breeders have what is called "first rights" and will take back their dogs - no questions asked. In addition, if there is an issue with returning the dog due to circumstances beyond your control there are purebred rescues who will work tirelessly to help Scottish Terriers and Purebred dogs stay out of shelters.
